- Test Certificate: EN 10204 Type 2.2 / 3.1
- Special Cleaning: For potable water / Food grade
Design Notes:
- Non-Rising Stem (Dark Rod) Design: The stem rotates but does not move linearly. The threaded section is inside the valve body and protected from the environment. This design is ideal for installations with limited headroom and for buried service where a valve key (square nut) is used for operation.
- Resilient Seated / Soft Seal: The wedge is fully encapsulated with rubber (EPDM or NBR). When closed, the rubber compresses against the body seat, providing bubble-tight shut-off and accommodating minor pipe misalignment or debris.
- Full Bore: The straight-through full bore design offers minimal resistance to flow and allows for pigging and cleaning operations.
- Triple O-Ring Stem Sealing: Multiple O-rings on the stem ensure positive sealing against external leakage and reduce operating torque.
Material Notes:
- Ductile Iron GGG-50 (EN-GJS-500-7): High strength, excellent ductility and impact resistance. Standard material for European standard valves.
- EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer): Excellent resistance to hot water, steam, ozone, UV, and mild chemicals. Ideal for potable water and wastewater. Not suitable for oils or hydrocarbons.
- NBR (Nitrile / Buna-N): Good resistance to oils, fuels, and hydrocarbons. Suitable for oil-contaminated water.
- Stainless Steel Stem: Provides corrosion resistance and long service life.
Application Notes:
- Suitable for: Potable water distribution, wastewater treatment, irrigation, fire protection systems, industrial cooling water, and buried pipelines.
- Not suitable for: Throttling or regulating service (use butterfly or globe valve instead). For high-temperature steam or aggressive chemicals, consult manufacturer.
- Installation: Can be installed in any position. For buried installation, use square nut operation and stem extension if required.
Note: This datasheet is prepared for a German Standard (DIN) Non-Rising Stem Resilient Seated Gate Valve per DIN 3352 / DIN 3202 / EN 1092-2. Ensure selected materials, pressure rating, and seat elastomer are compatible with the specific service conditions (medium, temperature, pressure, and environmental requirements).
