1.0 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & APPLICATION
This bellows seal globe valve is engineered to provide bubble-tight shutoff and eliminate external leakage (fugitive emissions) in applications involving hazardous, volatile, toxic, or valuable fluids. The hermetically sealed metallic bellows acts as the primary stem seal, offering superior reliability over traditional packing. Constructed from ASTM F304 stainless steel, it is suitable for moderate corrosive services such as steam, hot water, general chemical processes, and other industrial applications where corrosion resistance and emission control are required.

4.0 PRESSURE-TEMPERATURE RATINGS

  • Rated for PN 16 (16 bar) at the corresponding temperature limits as per ASME B16.34 for Class 150 valves.
  • The bellows assembly is designed to withstand the full pressure differential across the valve and is rated for a minimum specified cycle life.

6.0 BELLOWS ASSEMBLY (KEY FEATURE)

  • Taper: Welded, multi-ply metallic bellows.
  • Material: 304 Stainless Steel.
  • Function: Primary dynamic seal, welded to the stem and bonnet, creating a leak-proof barrier between the process fluid and atmosphere.
  • Testing: 100% pressure tested and helium leak tested to ensure integrity.

7.0 TESTING & INSPECTION

  • Shell Test: Per API 598 standard at 1.5 x PN pressure.

  • Bellows Integrity Test: Helium mass spectrometer test or equivalent.
  • Documentation: Certificate of Conformance (COC). Material Test Certificates (MTC 3.1) available upon request.

8.0 SURFACE FINISH

  • Internal: Smooth machined finish.
  • External: Bead blasted or cleaned.
  • Paint: Exterior carbon steel components painted with anti-corrosive epoxy paint. Standard color: Blue or as per customer requirement.

10.0 NOTES

  • F304 material offers good general corrosion resistance but is not recommended for severe chloride or acidic environments where F316/L would be required.
  • The bellows is a critical component. Avoid excessive stem travel and ensure proper installation to prevent damage.
