- Product Overview
The DM Mud Gate Valve is a high-performance gate valve specifically designed for drilling mud systems in the oil and gas industry. It is designed, manufactured, and tested in strict accordance with API Spec 6A. The valve features a Rising Stem structure and Bi-directional Sealing. The gate is connected to the stem via a T-slot connection, allowing the gate to float within the slot and achieve pressure-energized sealing against the resilient seat inserts on both sides, ensuring bi-directional flow shut-off.
Applications: Drilling mud circulation systems, wellhead equipment, manifolds and flowlines, crude oil and sour gas pipelines, and drilling chemical handling.

5.1 Body Material

5.3 Seals

- Inspection & Testing
8.1 Pressure Testing
Performed in accordance with API 6A:
- Shell Test: Hydrostatic test at 1.5 x Rated Working Pressure.
- Seat Test: Hydrostatic and Gas seat tests (as applicable per PSL).
8.2 Non-Destructive Examination (NDE)
Based on PSL requirements:
- PSL 1: MT or PT.
- PSL 2: MT/PT, sample hardness testing.
- PSL 3/3G: Full volumetric (UT/RT) and full hardness survey.
8.3 Performance Verification (PR2)
Type testing includes:
- Hydrostatic shell test.
- Gas seat test.
- 160 cycle dynamic test (Open/Close) at ambient and rated temperature.
- Torque measurement verification.
