Note: Brass valves are generally suitable for temperatures ≤150°C. Above 120°C, pressure must be significantly derated. PTFE packing has a maximum service temperature of approx. 150°C.

• Brass body – Good corrosion resistance and machinability; suitable for water and low pressure steam
• BSPT taper thread – Reliable sealing, easy installation; no need for additional sealing tape
• Non-rising stem design – Compact construction, ideal for space‑limited installations
• Full bore or reduced bore – Typically reduced bore (slightly lower flow capacity than pipe size)
• Low operating torque – Light handwheel operation
• Cost effective – Widely used in construction, HVAC, water supply and drainage

8. Installation & Operation Instructions

1. Thread connection – Apply PTFE tape or thread sealant to BSPT male threads. Screw in clockwise. Do not over‑tighten to avoid cracking the valve body.
2. Flow direction – Gate valves generally have no flow direction restriction, but it is recommended to install with the arrow (if marked) or horizontally.
3. Operazione – Turn handwheel clockwise to close, counter‑clockwise to open. Valve should be fully open or fully closed; not suitable for throttling (may erode sealing surfaces).
4. Maintenance – If stem leakage occurs, carefully tighten the packing gland nut. If leakage persists, replace the packing.
