1000PSI 2 Piece Solid Bar Forged Floating Ball Valves

1000PSI 2 Piece Solid Bar Forged Floating Ball Valves

Product Name: 2-Piece Floating Ball Valve
Connection: Female Threaded NPT (National Pipe Thread)
Pressure Rating: 1000 PSI (WOG)
Body Construction: Bar Stock (Forged Bar)

Technical Datasheet: 2-Piece Floating Ball Valve

Product Name: 2-Piece Floating Ball Valve
Connection: Female Threaded NPT (National Pipe Thread)
Pression nominale : 1000 PSI (WOG)
Body Construction: Bar Stock (Forged Bar)

  1. General Design Features
  • Taper: 2-piece, split body construction (Side Entry). Consists of a main body and an end cap secured by bolts.
  • Material: Machined from solid steel bars (e.g., Stainless Steel or Carbon Steel). This forged/bar stock construction offers higher density and strength compared to castings.
  • End Connections: Female threaded ends conforming to ASME B1.20.1 (NPT) standards.
  • Ball Design: Floating ball principle. The ball is not fixed; under pressure, it floats downstream against the seat to ensure a tight seal.
  • Blowout-Proof Stem: The stem is inserted from inside the body and features a blowout-proof shoulder, preventing stem ejection due to internal pressure.
  • Port Type: Full Port (full bore) or Reduced Port depending on size (Full Port minimizes pressure drop and turbulence).
  • Opération: Standard lever handle with locking device (material: plated carbon steel or stainless steel). Suitable for mounting extensions or actuators.

  1. Inspection & Testing Procedure
  • Shell Test: Valve partially open. Hydrostatic test at 1.5 times the rated pressure. Check body, end cap joints, and stem area for leaks.
  • Seat Test: Valve closed. Hydrostatic or pneumatic test at 1.1 times the rated pressure. Check for leakage across the seat.
  • Low-Pressure Seat Test: Air test at 80 PSI (approx. 0.6 MPa) to verify sealing integrity at low pressure.
  1. Options & Special Features
  • Antistatic Device: Optional springs between ball and stem to ensure electrical continuity (per API 608).
  • Fire-Safe Design: Optional design qualified to API 607 / ISO 10497.
  • Actuator Mounting: Top flange designed to ISO 5211 for direct mounting of pneumatic, electric, or worm gear actuators.
  • Stem Extension: Available for buried service or insulated piping.
