- Critical Notes & Selection Tips
- “Bronze Seated” Definition:
- This data sheet reflects a true Bronze-to-Bronze seal. The wedge has a Bronze ring/face that mates with the Bronze seat in the body.
Torque Requirement (Mandatory Gearbox):
- For a DN500 PN10 metal-seated valve, a gearbox (worm gear) is NOT optional – it is mandatory. The solid wedge and metal-to-metal contact create very high seating and unseating torque. Please confirm the gearbox ratio with the supplier.
Leakage Rate:
- Metal-seated valves cannot achieve “zero leakage” (bubble tight) like resilient-seated valves. They typically conform to ISO 5208 Rate D (0.1x DN mm³/s) or Rate E. Please confirm the acceptable leakage rate for your application.
DIN 3352 Structure:
- DIN 3352 is a multi-part standard. Your valve most likely conforms to DIN 3352 Part 4 or Part 5 for cast iron gate valves, or a specific metal-seated variant.
Action Required:

- Gearbox Ratio & Output Torque (Is it suitable for manual operation under max differential pressure?)
