TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
Product: High Pressure Metal Seated Floating Ball Valve (Actuator Ready)
Size / Model: DN15 – PN100
- General Description
This metal seated floating ball valve is designed for high‑pressure (PN100 / Class 600) and severe service conditions. The floating ball design combines with a hard‑faced metal seat (Stellite, tungsten carbide, etc.) to provide excellent resistance to abrasion, erosion, and high temperatures. The valve comes with an integrated ISO 5211 mounting pad, allowing direct installation of pneumatic or electric actuators for automated process control.

- Hauptmerkmale
4.1 Metal Seated Technology
- Wear & erosion resistance – Hardfacing applied by HVOF or welding (Stellite) gives a seat/ball hardness up to HRC 60, ideal for abrasive media (slurries, coal dust) and high‑temperature steam.
- Tight shut‑off – Precision lapped metal sealing surfaces achieve near‑zero leakage (Class VI equivalent for gases).
4.2 Floating Ball Design Advantages
- Bidirectional sealing – In high‑pressure applications, upstream pressure forces the ball against the downstream seat for reliable sealing.
- Compact footprint – Smaller and lighter than trunnion‑mounted ball valves; suitable for space‑limited installations.
4.3 Actuator Readiness
- ISO 5211 direct mounting – The top flange conforms to ISO 5211 (F03 / F05 / F07 patterns available), eliminating the need for adapter brackets.
- Precision stem drive – Stem end is machined with a flat or octagonal drive that mates precisely with the actuator coupling, ensuring minimal backlash and accurate position feedback.
- Field‑ready – Actuator can be mounted without disassembling the valve; handwheel override options are also available.
- ISO 5211 Actuator Interface
Top Flange Pattern | Bolt Circle Diameter | Centering Spigot | Stem Drive Dimensions |
F03 | 36 mm | 6 mm | 9 mm / 11 mm square |
F05 | 50 mm | 9 mm | 9 mm / 11 mm / 14 mm square |
Custom stem drives for specific actuator brands (e.g., Bettis, Rotork, etc.) are available upon request.
- Testing & Standards
Test Type | Standard |
Design & Manufacturing | ASME B16.34 / API 608 |
Pressure Testing | API 598 / ISO 5208 |
Shell Test | 1.5 × PN100 (15.0 MPa) |
High‑Pressure Seat Test | 1.1 × PN100 (11.0 MPa) |
Low‑Pressure Air Test | 0.6 MPa (bubble‑tight) |
Fire Safe (optional) | API 607 / ISO 10497 |
- Installation & Maintenance Notes
- Orientation – While the floating ball design allows bidirectional flow, it is recommended to install according to the body arrow to maximise seat life.
- Actuator mounting – Ensure the valve is in the geschlossen position before installing the actuator. Use a torque wrench for mounting bolts to avoid stem misalignment.
- High‑temperature service – For operating temperatures above 200°C, body flange bolts should be re‑torqued after the system reaches thermal equilibrium to compensate for material expansion.
