Petrochemical | Crude oil, refined products, natural gas, LPG |
Water treatment | Clean water, sewage, reclaimed water |
Food & beverage | Food grade media (with food grade seals) |
Pharmaceutical | Process water, drug solutions (with sanitary finish) |
General industry | Compressed air, steam, thermal oil |
Limitations for 304 SS body:
- Not suitable for strong oxidizing media (e.g. concentrated nitric or sulfuric acid – use 316/316L)
- Avoid high chloride concentrations (risk of stress corrosion cracking)
- For >200°C, use PPL seats or metal seated design
- Weight & Packaging
Item | Value |
Approx. net weight | 12 ~ 15 kg |
Packaging | Export wooden case / standard export packing |
Protection | Plastic flange protectors, rust preventive coating |
- Installation & Maintenance Notes
- Pre-installation check: Verify valve size, material, pressure rating match line requirements. Clean pipe interior to avoid damaging sealing surfaces.
- Flange connection: Use gasket conforming to ASME B16.5 (e.g. spiral wound or PTFE). Tighten bolts evenly in a cross pattern to avoid flange misalignment.
- Operación: Handle parallel to pipe = open; perpendicular = closed. Do not use extension levers or impact tools.
- Temperature effect: PTFE/RPTFE seats may expand at high temperature, increasing torque. Allow margin in actuator sizing.
- Maintenance: Inspect operation and sealing every 6 months. For valves idle for long periods, cycle the valve periodically to prevent seat adhesion.
