1.0 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & APPLICATION
A robust 3-piece ball valve designed for reliable on/off service in high-pressure industrial applications. The three-piece bolted body construction (two end caps and a center section) allows for easy in-line maintenance and seat replacement without removing the valve from the pipeline. This model features a Socket Weld (SW) end on one side and a Male NPT (NPTM) threaded end on the other, providing installation flexibility for systems transitioning between welded and threaded piping. Suitable for a wide range of applications including process instrumentation, oil and gas, chemical transfer, power generation, and general industrial services.

4.0 PRESSURE-TEMPERATURE RATINGS
- Rated per ASME B16.34 for Class 600. The maximum allowable working pressure depends on the selected body and seat materials and the operating temperature.
- Example (CF8M Body with PTFE Seats): 1440 psi @ 100°F (38°C), ~285 psi @ 450°F (232°C). Consult detailed P-T chart.

6.0 KEY DESIGN FEATURES
- 3-Piece Bolted Body: Enables easy maintenance, seat inspection/replacement, and cleaning without removing valve ends from the pipeline.
- Dual End Connections: Offers versatile installation where welded and threaded connections are required. Socket Weld provides a strong, leak-proof joint. Male NPT allows for straightforward threaded installation.
- Full Port Design: Provides a flow area approximately equal to the pipe ID, minimizing pressure loss.
- Blow-Out Proof Stem: Stem is securely retained, ensuring safety under full pressure.
- Anti-Static Device: Ensures electrical continuity between ball and body.
- Locking Device Tab: On the handle for padlock application (safety isolation).
7.0 TESTING & INSPECTION

- Hydrostatic Shell Test: 1.5 x Class Rating (900 psi for Class 600).

9.0 INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE NOTES
- Ensure the valve is in the fully open position during welding of the Socket Weld end to prevent heat damage to internal seals.
- Use appropriate thread sealant compatible with the process fluid on the NPTM end.
- For disassembly, relieve line pressure completely before loosening the two body bolts.
- Regular maintenance (cleaning, seal replacement) is simplified due to the 3-piece design.
